Our horizontal belt vacuum filter is hereinafter referred to as the belt filter. The belt filter is a device that uses the gravity of the material and vacuum suction to achieve solid-liquid separation. Its unique structure and working principle determine that it has the characteristics of high filtration efficiency, low energy consumption, less washing water consumption, thorough washing of filter cakes, simple configuration, stable operation, low noise, and long filter cloth life. It is widely used in solid-liquid separation operations in industries such as chemical engineering, medicine, mining, metallurgy, desulfurization, fertilizer, food, building materials, and wastewater treatment.

Operating principle:

The horizontal vacuum belt filter is an efficient equipment that effectively realizes solid-liquid separation by fully utilizing the gravitational force of the material and the vacuum suction force. Its working principle is as follows: The circular filter belt is driven to run continuously by the motor through the reducer and the driving rollers. The filter cloth is laid on the filter belt, and there is a sealing belt below. In the presence of vacuum, it runs synchronously with the filter belt on the vacuum box. The sealing belt makes sliding contact with the vacuum box, and pressure water is introduced into the contact surface for lubrication and cooling. When vacuum is applied, a vacuum filtration zone is formed on the filter belt; the slurry is evenly distributed on the filter cloth by the distributor, and under the action of vacuum, the filtrate passes through the horizontal grooves on the filter belt and collects at the central hole to enter the vacuum box, while the solid particles are retained by the filter cloth to form a filter cake; the liquid entering the vacuum box is then discharged through the gas-liquid separator. As the filter belt moves, the formed filter cake successively enters the filter cake washing zone and the drying zone; finally, the filter cloth separated from the belt is scraped off at the deflection roller and removed; the filter cloth after removing the filter cake is rinsed to achieve regeneration; and then it re-enters the filtration zone after passing through the support belt roller and the deviation device.

Technological process

Process Flow
1. Basic Process Flow (Filtering, Dewatering)
The slurry is added from one end of the driven roller, and after filtration, a filter cake is formed and discharged from the other end of the driven roller. The filtrate is discharged through a vacuum box and an air-liquid separator (or can be achieved through automatic liquid discharge methods such as atmospheric legs, electric control, liquid pump, float type, etc.). This is suitable for process operations where the filter cake does not require washing.
2. Two-stage Parallel Washing Process Flow
Based on the basic process flow, two stages of parallel washing are added to the filter cake. This is suitable for process operations where the filter cake requires washing.
3. Three-stage Parallel Washing Process Flow
Based on the basic process flow, three stages of parallel washing are added to the filter cake. This is suitable for process operations where the washing requirements for the filter cake are extremely strict.
4. Three-stage Counterflow Washing Process Flow
Based on the basic process flow, three stages of counterflow washing are added to the filter cake and the wash water is used as the third stage of the washing liquid. This is suitable for process operations where both thorough filter cake washing and strict control of the amount of wash water are required.
5. Wash Water Used as Washing Liquid Process Flow
Based on the basic process flow, three stages of counterflow washing are added to the filter cake and the wash water is used as the third stage of the washing liquid. This is suitable for process operations where thorough filter cake washing is required and strict control of the amount of wash water is necessary.
